The three questions every child asks
Grief researchers describe three silent worries most children have after a death: Did I cause it? Can I catch it? Who will look after me?
Children often won't ask out loud. Answer all three anyway, in your own words, more than once.
If the death was from an illness, explain that it was a different kind of illness from colds and tummy bugs, and that you can't catch it from someone.
